William was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2012 and is a Partner at Rahayu Partnership, where he heads the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Admiralty Practice.

William specialises in shipping and admiralty law, as well as corporate and commercial matters. He regularly advises and represents both local and international clients, including shipowners, charterers, bunker suppliers, shipyards, financial institutions, freight forwarders, and other maritime industry stakeholders. His experience encompasses a broad range of maritime matters, including maritime litigation, ship arrests, judicial sales of vessels, private vessel sale and purchase transactions, insurance disputes, and cargo claims.

In addition to his maritime practice, William has extensive experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. His practice covers a wide spectrum of contentious and advisory work, and he regularly acts in complex commercial disputes involving strategic debt recovery, contractual breaches, employment disputes, wrongful dismissal claims, and other civil and commercial matters.

William is known for providing practical, commercially focused advice and effective representation to clients across a diverse range of industries.
